Dance in the Vampire Bund
Did you ever make a promise to someone when you were younger? In January 2010, Akira was reminded of a promise he made.
Directing this 300 minute animation/drama/fantasy/romance/action/horror is Naoyuki Tatsuwa.
The show focuses around these main characters: Yuichi Nakamura as Akira Kaburagi Regendorf, Aoi Yuki as Mina Tepes, Chiwa Saito as Yuki Saegusa and Yuko Kaida as Veratos.
A promise made long ago between two kids has been forgotten due to a accident. When the queen of the vampires comes out of the shadows and proclaims to the world that there will be no more hiding for her kind, Akira is drawn to her. Seeing her stirs up memories that he must piece together if he wants to remember who he is. Then Queen Tepes announces that she will build a home for all the vampires off the coast of Japan. Quickly, Akira is pulled into this new world that many thought didn't exist. Even quicker, he becomes aware of all the other creatures and dangers waiting to strike in the night. The closer the queen gets to building the bund (water front), the more resistance and danger comes her way. All the while, something inside Akira tells him to protect her. Through thick and thin, these two build a bond.
This is a pretty cool story that is twelve episodes long (25 minutes each),
with not a lot of fighting going on. More a political fight story. Cool
animation, with a nice play through. Content can be a little troublesome to
some, due to the main character being a twelve year old little girl... That we
see naked and in... odd situations at times. This was on television, so nothing
extreme but it's a warning for those that might be sensitive. Again, I really
liked the story, but if you're looking for horror... keep on looking. If you've
got time to kill, yeah go ahead it's worth it.
