Thanks to the guys over at Horro-rmovies.ca for this one-
What we have for you is Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy–The Making of Wes Craven’s “A Nightmare on Elm Street.” This is poised to be the ultimate book for all fans of the Elm Street franchise and horror fans in general, and what they have in store for us is simply off the hook!
But unfortunately they’re in a bit of a predicament. Funding is an issue, so they have taken toKickstarter in hopes of bringing this project to life. So, if you like what you see and you would like to see this become a reality, hit up the link above and see how you can help, whether by pledging or by simply sharing this news (the more people who know, the better, right?).
Here are some details about the book:
Through personal relationships and incredible access to many of the film’s cast and crew, the ultimate story of how the movie was conceived, created and released will truly come to life.
Exclusive interviews with dozens of people who brought Elm Street to life (writer/director, producers, cast, cinematographer, effects artists, designers, stunt people and more), and combining hundreds of materials, including rare, never-before-seen photographs, storyboards, conceptual drawings, publicity materials, archival documents and more will complete this cleverly-crafted, comprehensive chronicle.
The book will be hardcover, over two hundred pages and include both color and black-and-white photos and materials. It will be printed on high-quality, semi-gloss paper. It is an oversize (approximately 9.5″ x 12″) coffee table book.
Physical production of the books is being handled by Toppan, an award-winning leader in printing with decades of experience. One of the thousands of titles they produced was author Peter Bracke’s incredible Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th.
