It's The Dark Knight VS Jack The Ripper In New Fan Film!

London - 1888, the Jack the Ripper murders are gripping the nation and the people of Whitechapel are growing increasingly scared... Chief Inspector Abberline is struggling to figure out who the killer is and with added pressure from above to catch the murderer his own demons begin to get the better of him.  But there is someone out there who wants to help...  Watching... in the shadows... waiting to strike."

I've been looking forward to this fan-made film since I first heard of it a few months ago. Obviously i'm a huge horror fan but i'm also a massive Batman fan so to have The Caped Crusader in a horror setting is a wet dream for a geek like me. Fans of DC Comics' 1st Elseworlds tale Gotham By Gaslight, written by Brian Augustyn and illustrated by Mike Mignola (of Hellboy fame) will definitely enjoy this and horror fans will love it as well. Batman's Victorian/Steampunk look is truly unique and the Goblin/Carpenter-esque electro-synth style score would almost make you believe that the film was made in the eighties. Also Bruce Payne's outstanding performance as 'Jack' really is, something else.... Check out the film below.

Ripper: A Batman Fan Film was written and directed by James Campbell, and produced by Adam Bouabda. It stars Bill Fellows, Donald Standen, Jacob Anderton, Kris Saddler, Sally Collett, Victoria Gibson, Eilidh Talman and Bruce Payne.
