The Dark-edged Devils of UK Indie Film bring you something... SINISTER

Enigmatic Productions are an award-winning film studio that have recently launched an Indiegogo campaign for their latest comedy horror short SINISTER NICKY.

SINISTER NICKY, written & directed by Edward Harvey and Steven Brown follows soft-centered bruiser, Bill and his wife Helen, who experience strange goings on in their home after acquiring a sinister-looking garden gnome named Nicky. It's clear from the get go that Bill has a deep fear of gnomes, and when Helen leaves Bill alone with their new little friend, that's when things take a turn for the worst!

Enigmatic had success with their last comedy short MACHO DAN (winning the 24 hour film challenge at Derby Film Festival in 2014), and they are hoping to build upon that success with their latest short film, combining their flare for comedy with their passion for horror.

"The undisputed champion - a ludicrous, very funny comedy about a man who reacts to a break up in the only way he knows how; impersonating Macho Man Randy Savage." - [SIC] Independent film and TV reviews.

Their vision for SINISTER NICKY is a film that homages classic horrors like John Carpenter's Halloween and Wes Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street, and will be presented in that straight-up slasher horror way with its look and sound, but will have the added bonus of layers of dark humour similar to the likes of British TV show The League of Gentlemen.

Enigmatic Productions are based in Derby, UK. The company was founded in 2010 by film makers Edward Harvey and Steven Brown. With a passion for the weird and wonderful, the pair had a vision of a film brand with a wickedly dark edge - specialising in horror, comedy, drama, mystery and thriller fiction. In 2012, like-minded fellow film maker Johann Chipol joined the team and brought his array of skills to the table. Ever-growing, the company aim to make their mark in film, TV, and animation.
